Michael Glenn served as the Assistant Montgomery County States Attorney from the beginning of 1981 until August of 1982.

In 1982, Michael Glenn took over the law practice of Myron Schaefer, in Nokomis, Illinois.  Since 1982, Mr. Glenn has been serving his neighbors throughout Montgomery County and surrounding areas. In 1986, Mr. Glenn obtained the largest jury award in Montgomery County history for his personal injury client.

A second office has been opened (Wednesdays 8:00am-5:00pm, other days by appointment only) in Litchfield, Illinois to add a convenient  location to serve a greater area of those in need of legal assistance, whether in Montgomery, Macoupin, Madison, or Sangamon counties.

In August 2016, Mr. Glenn expanded again by the addition of Trent West as an Associate Attorney and then created Glenn & West, Attorneys at Law.  With two attorneys, the firm is able to more efficiently and effectively serve clients in the area.

Mr. Glenn was born in Highland, Illinois and grew up in Belleville, Illinois.  He earned degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and the University of Missouri – Kansas City Law School.

Since 1978, he has served as an assistant public defender, assistant state’s attorney, and in general practice.  Mr. Glenn lives to advocate for his clients, whether in or out of the courtroom.  He has represented and provided guidance to many individual, corporate, and municipal clients through his career.

He has lived in Nokomis since 1982 with his wife, Debra, and raised four children in Nokomis.  Mr. Glenn is a member of the Nokomis Lions’ Club, St. Louis Catholic Church, Litchfield Moose Lodge, and Litchfield Eagles.

Trent West

Trent West is a native to Nokomis, where his parents still reside. He has degrees from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Thomas M. Cooley Law School.  While in law school, his concentration was litigation and advocacy for justice in the courtroom.  That concentration has been put to use as he has represented clients in the courtroom via hearings, trials, and other matters.

Mr. West has a wide range of legal experience.  He has litigated criminal and municipal law from the prosecution side and the defense side.  In the private sector, he has represented clients in personal injury cases, family law, banking, probate, and general civil practice.

Mr. West lives in Troy, Illinois with his wife, Krystal, and their three children. Mr. West and his wife are active members of the Metro East Community Rotary Club. They, as a family, enjoy volunteering and serving those that need help in and around their community, just as Mr. West does every day as an attorney.  Mr. West is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Montgomery County Bar Association and Madison County Bar Association.
